iLab North American Instance Upgrade, scheduled 3 days ago

On Thursday May 23rd, 2019 at 01:30 AM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers will be working with our Network Service Provider to upgrade the iLab North American and DFCI backup database instance to make the sites more resilient. There may be some partial downtime, for no more than 15 minutes during this time.

iLab North America iLab Sites Downtime

At approximately 2 AM, U.S. EST, our Network Service Provider began work on upgrading some packages onto our database server to increase efficiency and resiliency. This impacted customers on the North American instance, which includes institutions in the U.S. and Qatar. Agilent Site Reliability Engineers work with our provider to reduce the impact time as much as possible.

The iLab site was unreachable for approximately 2 hours and during this time, users of the Kiosk/ Interlock interface may have been impacted. The iLab site is now operational.

iLab North America iLab Kiosk/ Interlock Connection

iLab customers using the kiosk interface with interlock are unable to connect to the bridge. iLab Site Reliability Engineer have found the issue and have raised an urgent ticket with our Network Service Provider, where the kiosk instance is hosted.

[07:48 PM U.S. EST] - Network service provider resolved the issue on their side. iLab team tested and confirmed bridge connection should be established now.

iLab North America iLab North American Sites Performance Issues

[Monday May 13th; 03:01 PM U.S. EST] - The iLab North American server is experiencing some performance issues and the iLab site may be slower than normal or unreachable at times. iLab Site Reliability Engineers are working with our Network Provider to resolve.

[Monday May 13th; 03:27 PM U.S. EST] - iLab Site Reliability Engineers have found and resolved the issues with the server and will be monitoring closely throughout the remainder of the day.
